Jessica Weereratne

Director

Jessica is a strategy and transformation consultant with more than 10 years of experience partnering with UK and international universities, governments and not-for-profit organisations.

She has managed and delivered strategic and digital transformations and organisational model redesigns. She has also supported institutions to rethink their future ways of working. Jessica combines her very collaborative style with strong project management skills to support organisations to improve performance and achieve long-lasting change.

Influential work

Led a project with the University of Chicago, King’s College London and the University of Melbourne to develop a new ranking mechanism for civic engagement, presented in the public report “Advancing University Engagement”
Project managed the co-development of a Russell Group university’s digital strategy responding to COVID-19 to embed new ways of working
Appointed as interim lead for a post-92 university establishing a new university campus, leading the project management office and supporting seven workstreams
Project managed transformation reforms for a world-renowned UK university, using blended teams and drawing on human-centred design to align improvements with the needs of users
Led a project to identify how a UK university could evolve its culture to deliver its ambitious strategy, based on detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Outside of Nous

Since moving to London in May 2016, Jessica has worked as a consultant at the Open Data Institute, where she provided advice on data strategy and open innovation, facilitated workshops and managed projects for commercial and international partners. Prior to this she spent six years in the Australian Government as a civil servant and then a political adviser to the ministers for health and for regional development.

In her spare time...

In her spare time Jessica likes to explore the English countryside and cook for friends: she has the unique skill of using every pot and pan in the house.
